Steamboat Springs is a Colorado mountain town known for its world-class ski resort and champagne powder snow. Steamboat Springs Transit is looking to fill seasonal bus driver positions with reliable, safe drivers. Benefits
The City of Steamboat Springs offers seasonal employees working 20 hours or more per week: Regional Bus Pass – also available to immediate family members Howelsen Hill Skiing and Skating Pass – also available to immediate family members These benefits are in addition to mandated benefits such as workers’ compensation, unemployment insurance, and social security. Qualifications
Our paid training begins on October 26, 2022. The 4-week, 160-hour training program helps individuals obtain their Colorado CDL Class B driver’s license. We pay $18.84/hour during training. Once licensed and trained, drivers start at $21.34/hour. If already licensed, you can test out of training and start earning $21.34/hour immediately. We offer an early sign-on bonus of $350 for trainees completing all paperwork by October 1, 2021, plus end-of-season bonuses based on hours worked, and an extra $1.00/hour for shifts past midnight. The typical workweek is 37-39 hours, with 4- & 5-day schedules. Winter service runs from 5:00 am to 3:00 am daily. Bus drivers operate public transportation buses safely, following routes, providing schedule info, assisting disabled passengers, and completing incident reports. Drivers also perform bus wash duties as part of their shift. Requirements
