Role Description This is a mobile/freelance role for a Private Event Chef based in Atlanta, GA. The Private Event Chef will be responsible for designing and preparing custom menus for private events, ensuring that food is perfectly paired with select wines and spirits. They will oversee ingredient sourcing, preparation, and presentation, ensuring exceptional quality and adherence to client preferences.
Crucial for developing the food pairings(including cheese, simple bites, dips, salads, etc.).
They would work with the sommeliers to create the "exceptional pairings" and consider the "overall effect of the entire spread" as described in the "Pairing Wine and Cheese" and "The secret to a great pairing" sections.
Other responsibilities include managing food safety, maintaining a clean and organized food preparation space, and collaborating with sommeliers and the event team to deliver a seamless and memorable dining experience.
Qualifications Strong culinary skills, including menu development, food preparation, and plating techniques Experience in curating food and beverage pairings, especially with wine and spirits Expertise in kitchen management and maintaining food safety standards Excellent time management and organizational skills to execute events smoothly Ability to collaborate effectively with sommeliers, clients, and event teams Flexibility to work various shifts and adapt to diverse event settings Prior experience in private dining or event catering is a plus Culinary degree or equivalent experience is preferred
