Malone’s Sushi Chef Job Description
Malone’s is a storied steakhouse restaurant that offers more than just traditional steakhouse experiences. Create a diverse sushi menu featuring various main ingredients and raw fish such as salmon and tuna. Prepare all types of sushi, including maki, nigiri, and sashimi. Add complementary flavors to sushi rolls with ginger, rice vinegar, wasabi, and soy sauce as appropriate. Manage food preparation activities, including boiling rice. Coordinate with wait staff to ensure proper cooking and accommodate special requests and food allergies. Prepare appetizers, soups, and salads aligned with Japanese cuisine principles. Monitor food stock levels and place orders when necessary. Maintain hygiene standards in all cooking areas and clean your workspace at the end of each shift. Requirements and Skills
Previous experience as a Sushi Chef or at an Asian restaurant. Good knowledge of various sushi types and rolling techniques. Ability to work efficiently and accurately. Availability to work during business hours, including weekends and evenings. Flexibility to work various shifts. Job Types
