Position Overview As an integral member of a cross‑functional team, collaborate with Project Engineering, Industrial Design, and Factory Engineering to design and develop new fitness products. Perform a variety of technical assignments to support various projects through the Key Technology (KT) and New Product Development (NPD) processes led by a project engineer. Prepare CAD models and drawings for various components and assemblies. Ensure compliance with product specifications, internal and external standards, and testing requirements. Complete document control tasks related to the creation, maintenance, organization and improvement of technical documentation. Conduct product and component testing to validate designs. This is a non‑supervisory position.

Responsibilities

Ensure reliability, manufacturability, and smooth product transition from R&D to full prototype, including understanding of quality and Asia manufacturing.

Drive technical designs that improve ergonomics or meet customer needs.

Work with Senior Engineers on all activities toward prototype readiness, ensuring product reliability and manufacturability.

Lead creation of prototypes through R&D and consumer insights.

Attend project reviews and design reviews.

Generate project requirements and initiate technical investigations of new potential products.

Present updates at project reviews on prototype readiness and issues.

Analyze engineering CAD models for prototyping and testability.

Drive continuous improvement throughout the Innovation lifecycle.

Other duties as required.

Requirements Education

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

Experience

3 to 5 years in a Mechanical Design Engineering/Manufacturing Environment.

2–3 years in consumer products design experience.

Previous exposure to NPD (New Product Development).

Experience with 3D CAD and FEA (SolidWorks).

Experience with a variety of materials and processes is a plus.

Working knowledge of FMEA, Risk Analysis and tolerance stack‑ups.

Experience with Design for Assembly and Design for Manufacturing techniques.
