Arconic . Arconic is currently seeking a qualified hourly HVAC Maintenance Specialist to join our Davenport Works Facility in Bettendorf, IA. Inspect, fabricate, install, repair, modify, calibrate, adjust, and test HVAC and refrigeration equipment systems up to 480VAC and 250VDC. Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems up to 480VAC or 250VDC. Dismantle, move, fabricate, redesign (with proper authorization), assemble, and install HVAC systems from the load side of the service disconnect. Perform predictive and preventative maintenance and diagnose HVAC systems and related equipment to determine root causes of failures. Check, install, adjust, and calibrate HVAC system components. Test HVAC systems and equipment using electrical, electronic, and mechanical testing and sensing equipment. Perform soldering, brazing, welding, and burning functions for HVAC installations and repairs. Layout, plan, and install HVAC equipment and circuits from instructions, prints, diagrams, and electrical codes to conform to specifications. Operate material handling equipment, perform limited painting and lubrication, and perform housekeeping duties. Record, interpret, and respond to information on SPC forms, charts, and graphs. Select and carry out scheduled work orders based on equipment needs. Communicate with internal and external customers and suppliers regarding project or equipment status and technical issues. Perform administrative tasks such as time keeping, writing work orders, ordering supplies and materials, keeping records, logs, and reports. Use information systems and processes to obtain and store data needed for duty performance. Follow EIS, Lockout Tagout, verification, and SOPs during duty performance. Assist in the writing and approval process of EICs, SOPs, and other work instructions for the HVAC department. Mentor peers and train probationary employees. Plan advanced kitting and scheduling. Maintain and update maintenance logbooks and HVAC ticket documentation. Participate in and facilitate technical meetings. Maintain email access. Actively engage in principles and utilize tools in Arconic Business Systems (ABS), Reliability Excellence (REX), Human Performance (HP), and pursue ownership in the business while fostering positive communication. Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of an accredited HVAC Certification Program. EPA Certification. Minimum 3 years commercial experience or 4 years residential service experience. Pass a comprehensive skills test and interview. Pass a physical examination, drug screen test, and background check. Legal authorization to work in the United States (visa sponsorship not available). Must be a U.S. person within the meaning of ITAR for ITAR compliance. Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s Degree in HVAC. Industrial HVAC Experience.
