Job Summary The Purchasing Agent plays a vital role in ensuring construction projects run smoothly, on time, and within budget. This position is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, equipment, and services required for various construction activities. The role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, monitoring market trends to secure competitive pricing, and ensuring all purchases meet quality and compliance standards.

Pay Range $28 per hour
Responsibilities
Taking material orders for the field
Creating PO’s for materials
Rental Equipment to job site and tracking
Set up deliveries with our Warehouse Drive.
Set up deliveries by vendors.
Tool Inventory “Hilti” and tracking
Verifying that all tools are in good working order.
Maintain the shop area.
Track Cat5 cables that are on hand.
Work with Estimator/Project Manager on prefab ordering and production.
Verify invoices have the correct PO, job and if tax has been charged correctly.
Verifies PO’s to invoices for correct job numbers and cost codes.
Packing slip verification
Checking material prices for best value or price
Inventory material returned from job to determine if it is being returned for credit.
Work with Accounting to add or deduct material cost from projects either from vendor or shop.
Request costs
Release fixtures and gear on vendor website.
Assist Warehouse Driver load/unload daily.
Cell phone monitoring for orders from the field
Backfill Driving when Warehouse Driver is on vacation.
Qualifications
Must have good driving record
Must have computer experience, Microsoft Office a must.
Monday – Friday 5:30am to 2:00pm.
