Job Summary We are seeking a senior pastor to join our leadership team, sharing responsibility for overseeing and shepherding the congregation and equipping the believers for the work of the ministry as instructed in Acts 20:28 and Ephesians 4. This role involves leading worship services; preaching and teaching; equipping the believers for ministry; providing leadership and guidance to various church ministries; and pastoral counseling.
Requirements Interested candidates should possess a personal testimony of trusting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, demonstrating a mature and growing relationship with Him. This individual shall align with the North American Baptist (NAB) Conference Statement of Beliefs and meet the established guidelines for membership at First Baptist Church (FBC).
A strong educational foundation is essential with a Masters of Divinity preferred. Demonstrated ministry experience is necessary, with senior pastoral experience preferred. The candidate must exhibit high moral character and be a servant-hearted, self-disciplined leader.
Key strengths include strong oral and written communication skills, the ability to build and lead teams, adaptability in a dynamic environment, proficiency in conflict resolution, and the capacity to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
