Head of Sales
Job Summary Our Client is seeking its first Head of Sales to lead and scale a growing sales organization during a pivotal stage of company growth. This role is ideal for a hands‑on sales leader excited to build structure, drive enterprise execution, and develop a high‑performing team.
About Our Client is a rapidly scaling SaaS company serving highly technical, engineering‑focused customers. With strong inbound momentum already in place, the company is now investing in a more balanced inbound‑outbound go‑to‑market motion to support continued expansion.
About the Role The Head of Sales will own new business growth and be responsible for designing, operationalizing, and scaling the company’s sales motion. Partnering closely with the CEO and cross‑functional leaders, this role will introduce sales rigor, improve execution, and help shape the future of the organization’s go‑to‑market strategy.
This is a newly created leadership role with significant influence and impact.
Duties and Responsibilities
Own and execute the company’s new business revenue strategy
Lead and manage a multi‑role sales team, including SDRs, Account Executives, and Sales Engineering
Build a repeatable enterprise sales process while continuing to scale existing sales motions
Establish a structured outbound engine with clear expectations and accountability
Implement forecasting discipline, pipeline management, and deal review processes
Coach and develop sales team members in enterprise selling, discovery, and negotiation
Lead regular sales meetings, pipeline reviews, and forecast calls
Create onboarding programs, training frameworks, and sales playbooks
Actively support and lead complex, high‑value enterprise deals
Collaborate cross‑functionally with Product, Operations, and Executive leadership
Plan for future hiring and organizational growth
Qualifications
Senior sales leadership experience within high‑growth SaaS companies
Strong track record of enterprise sales success
Experience building outbound motions and scaling sales teams
Ability to sell effectively to technical and engineering‑focused stakeholders
Strong communication, presentation, and executive presence
Hands‑on, player‑coach leadership approach
Comfortable thriving in fast‑paced, evolving environments
Additional Information
This role reports directly to executive leadership
Hybrid and West Coast‑based candidates preferred, with flexibility for exceptional talent
Occasional travel required for customer meetings and team collaboration
