Job Title: Senior Estimator – Estimating Review Services (PATH Projects)
Location: Hybrid – 2 Montgomery Street, Jersey City, NJ (In-office on Tuesdays; subject to change)
Pay rate: $100 per hour Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. License Requirement: Valid U.S. driver’s license required
Position Overview The Senior Estimator will lead Estimating Review services for the Port Authority Trans-Hudson (PATH) on both Capital and Repair Facility projects. This role requires strong leadership, technical proficiency in construction estimating, and the ability to review and validate cost estimates across all project stages and disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and perform detailed estimating reviews for PATH capital and repair facility construction projects.
Evaluate cost estimates for consistency, accuracy, and alignment with project scope at all design and construction phases.
Develop unit prices and lump sum estimates using data for labor, materials, and equipment.
Provide insights and recommendations during cost analyses, life cycle cost analysis, risk assessments, and value engineering reviews.
Coordinate with design/field engineers, project managers, schedulers, contract engineers, and finance teams.
Mentor or supervise junior estimators as needed.
Prepare and deliver cost review presentations to stakeholders using Microsoft Office Suite.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field from a U.S.-accredited institution.
Minimum 15 years of professional estimating experience, with a strong focus on railroad and/or mass transit projects.
Broad experience across multiple construction trades including building, heavy/civil, and infrastructure projects.
Proven experience with cost estimating reviews across all disciplines and project phases.
Familiarity with risk assessment, value engineering, and life cycle cost analysis.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Legally authorized to work in the U.S. (I-9 compliance).
Possess a valid U.S. driver’s license.
Note: Project management experience will not be counted as estimating experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional estimating certification (ASPE, AACE, or RICS).
Working knowledge of SharePoint and E-Builder platforms.
Expert-level skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with professional estimating software.

Additional flexible office days may be required; policy subject to change.
