The Registered Nurse - House Supervisor provides professional nursing care on a designated unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Compass Intervention Center and the ANA Standards of Practice for Psychiatric Mental Health Care. The Registered Nurse creates a safe environment for clients, provides direct supervision of clients, empowers clients, and teaches new tools for coping to clients.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited nursing program. BSN preferred.
Two‑year prior psychiatric experience in mental health nursing.
Licensure and registration by the Tennessee Board of Nurse Examiners as a registered nurse.
Prefer knowledge of effective teaching skills and educational strategies with a special education population, individual and group management skills, therapeutic relationships and processes, age‑specific growth and development; limit setting and crisis and behavior management.
