Human Resources Generalist
Location: Carey, OH
Salary: $120,000.00-$140,000.00
Responsibilities
Partner with hiring managers to execute full-cycle recruiting, including posting positions, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, extending offers, and managing pre-employment processes.
Lead onboarding and orientation processes for new hires, ensuring a seamless transition and positive first‑day experience.
Serve as a point of contact for employees and leaders regarding HR-related inquiries, policy interpretation, and employee relations concerns.
Support administration of HR processes including benefits, compensation, performance reviews, attendance tracking, and leave management.
Maintain employee records in ADP and Workday with a high level of accuracy, ensuring data integrity and compliance with company and legal requirements.
Assist in the implementation of HR programs, policies, and initiatives to support business objectives and a positive workplace culture.
Partner with leadership to identify talent needs, retention strategies, and development opportunities to strengthen workforce capability.
Conduct and assist in investigations related to employee relations issues in partnership with HR leadership.
Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, and ensure adherence to company policies and collective bargaining agreements (if applicable).
Provide HR reporting and analytics to management to support workforce planning and decision‑making.
Participate in cross‑functional HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance HR service delivery.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or automotive environment. Experience supporting unionized facilities strongly preferred.
Systems: Advanced working knowledge of ADP and Workday HRIS.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of employment law, HR best practices, and HR administrative processes.
Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and influence at all levels. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion.
