Our Team The Global RFP Group is responsible for creating the documents which articulate J.P. Morgan Asset Management's unique value proposition and brand commitments to clients around the world.

The Global RFP Group plays a key role in both the acquisition of new business and the retention of valuable existing clients, through the completion of Requests for Proposal (RFPs)*, Requests for Information (RFIs), Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs) and other written client materials, for Institutional and Wholesale clients and distributors of JPMAM's products and services. This team works closely with our Product and Sales partners to create, curate and maintain these client documents.

The Global RFP Group is focused on:

Supporting the business to grow its assets by maximizing JPMAM's chances of success in the RFP stages of the manager selection process

Ensuring a high and consistent global standard of quality deliverables to our clients

Measuring and driving client satisfaction and a consistent client experience

(*An RFP is a proposal or questionnaire that a potential client issues to asset management firms when tendering for new business in order to thoroughly understand how these firms manage client assets. It is typically the first formal stage of the sales process in the institutional and wholesale segments of the investment management industry).

Role Description The Request for Proposal (RFP) Associate will be based in New York, NY and will provide support to the firm‑wide content team within the wider Global RFP team. The RFP Associate will be responsible for responding to detailed RFPs, RFIs and DDQs from clients and distributors of JPMAM's products and services.

This team is responsible for sourcing, creating and maintaining responses to specific firm questions; and ensuring the accuracy and consistency of language to be used in RFPs for clients globally. This involves extensive liaison with colleagues and business partners across Asset Management globally.

The role offers an excellent opportunity to gain a deep understanding of JPMAM's product platforms and an in-depth knowledge of the broad spectrum of functions conducted in the Asset Management business.

Primary Responsibilities

Creating accurate, compelling and client‑focused RFP responses with overall responsibility for production, internal distribution and curation of draft and final versions of RFPs, RFIs, annual DDQs and other documents from prospective clients and consultants.

Developing strong, effective, two‑way working relationships with key stakeholders including Investment Specialists, Client Advisors, Sales Associates, Client Service Managers and other business partners.

Developing broad knowledge of the structure and operations of the assigned product team and the range of investment services and vehicles offered by JPMAM

Building an understanding of clients' differing needs and levels of sophistication, in order to tailor responses to the target audience

Maintaining product and firm‑level content and data, product profiles, master documents and other language in our Information Request Library

Participation in other activities relevant to the new business process and the department function

Rigorous adherence to approved review, compliance and record‑keeping procedures

Implementation of processes to control and, where possible, improve production and win/success rates of RFPs completed by the team

Essential Skills and Qualifications RFP Writing & Project Management Skills

Prior experience of writing or participating in the RFP process is a distinct advantage

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; in English

Ability to tailor responses to client questions and create new written material

Outstanding accuracy, attention to detail, organization, prioritization and multi‑tasking skills

Responsive to client requests; ability to work under pressure, and with flexibility, to meet tight deadlines

Confidence to work directly with stakeholders at all levels, both to ensure their RFP service needs are met, and to partner with them to agree priorities and deadlines

Product & Business Knowledge

Prior experience in investment products is a distinct advantage

Ability to gain quickly a broad knowledge of assigned JPMAM investment products

Financial market awareness and understanding of basic financial concepts

Awareness of business risk and compliance procedures

Microsoft Office Suite skills (intermediate/advanced); prior experience of using RFP databases and Saleforce.com applications also helpful

Leadership Skills

Strong work ethic and professional, positive and mature attitude at all times

Ability to work as part of a collaborative global team, as well as on own initiative; sensitivity to different cultures and working styles

Ability to display J.P. Morgan's core values and business principles
