RFP Associate – Impax Asset Management
The RFP Associate is an RFP position which plays an important supporting role in the development and management of institutional and intermediary client and investment consultant relationships in the North American asset management market. The RFP Associate will participate in all facets of the sales and client service process including assisting in the development and support of relationships with institutional and intermediary investors, investment consultants, multi-family offices, financial services firms, and distribution partners. This position directly reports to the Head of RFP, North America, and offers the potential opportunity for professional growth into a more senior RFP, client service, consultant relations, and/or sales role.
As a member of the North American Client Group, assist the development of timely and accurate responses to RFPs/RFIs/DDQs for institutional and intermediary clients, consultants and prospective clients.
Responsibilities
Drafting responses using the Responsive database and coordinate closely with North America RFP Manager, the global RFP team, and subject matter experts on the creation of new content. Contribute to the global RFP team’s ongoing management of Responsive.
Supporting the population of institutional databases with relevant firmwide and strategy narrative content in conjunction with the lead Database associate.
Participating in weekly investment product meetings and trainings to understand recent portfolio positioning, investment performance, risk metrics, and newly approved investments for listed equity and fixed income strategies.
Maintaining a working knowledge and familiarity of relevant fund offering documents, and investment management agreements and guidelines with North American clients.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date contact, activity and document records in Impax’s CRM system to reflect activities, sent documents, opportunities, and other documentation.
Servicing clients, consultants, and prospects to the highest standard, including responding to ad hoc requests in a timely manner.
Qualifications
1-3 years experience writing RFP/RFI/DDQ responses; experience with Responsive, eVestment, and consultant databases preferred.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Ability to articulate, with strong attention to detail; writing and editing documents is key.
Superior organization, prioritization, and project management skills; the ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining a high standard is essential.
Maintain strict client confidentiality.
Collaborate effectively within a global team and build collegial relationships while also working independently to achieve assigned tasks with a minimum amount of direct supervision.
Willingly help co-workers and share job and/or business systems knowledge.
Help provide coverage during absence of co-workers.
Participate in and contribute to special projects.
Proactively offer suggestions to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity.
Actively participate in team and company meetings, and company-sponsored training.
