We are seeking an experienced Db2 Mainframe Database Administrator to provide end-to-end support for large-scale Db2 z/OS environments.
This role involves physical database design, deployment, replication, performance tuning, and security management, ensuring optimal database operations and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Provide application database and replication support for a large Db2 z/OS sysplex environment. Perform database maintenance, including utilities management. Review SQL and programs for compliance with standards and optimize performance. Support replication between Db2 and Oracle using IBM IIDR tools (Q Replication and/or CDC Replication). Deliver 24x7 on-call support for critical database operations. Collaborate with teams to ensure secure and efficient database architecture. Contribute to performance tuning and access management strategies. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Minimum 10+ years of experience in Db2 z/OS Database Administration within large, complex environments. Expertise in IBM IIDR replication tools (Q Replication and/or CDC Replication). Strong proficiency in SQL, REXX, JCL, and COBOL. Working knowledge of CA Database Tools. Experience in performance tuning, database security, and access management. Exposure to distributed database technologies and cloud environments. Brokerage back-office knowledge is a plus.
