Process Improvement Specialist
We are seeking a Process Improvement Specialist to partner with our Shipyard customers in optimizing business processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall performance at the Shipyard. The role involves analyzing and identifying areas for improvement, developing and implementing solutions, and monitoring the effectiveness of changes to ensure alignment with Shipyard initiatives. You will enhance the methods, tools, effectiveness, and outcomes of Shipyard processes, manage communications and customer expectations, and deliver high‑quality work products at the customer site.
Responsibilities
Provide technical support to resolve problems from codes/organizations throughout the Shipyard.
Analyze existing workflows, identify areas for improvement, and document current processes.
Develop and implement new or modified processes, including streamlined workflows, automation, and process changes.
Collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends, measure the effectiveness of process improvements, and inform decision making.
Support and coordinate with Shipyard customers in the preparation of documentation and deliverables.
Utilize methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement tools to identify and solve problems.
Work with cross‑functional teams to understand business needs, gather input, and implement changes.
Provide training and support to ensure successful adoption of new processes and procedures.
Document and communicate process improvements to stakeholders and management.
Monitor Shipyard processes and suggest further enhancements to maintain optimal process performance.
Support the execution of contract requirements, including submission of supporting data and metrics and timely completion of written reports to stakeholders, customers, and CACI leadership.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications – Required
Must be a United States Citizen.
Must have the ability to obtain a DOD Interim Secret security clearance and subsequent final DOD Secret security clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering. In lieu of the degree requirement, candidates with a minimum of 8 years of directly applicable work experience may be considered.
Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
Training, certification, and/or experience in Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, Shingo, or Theory of Constraints.
Demonstrated project management, research, and facilitation skills.
Strong customer service orientation and written/verbal communication skills with the ability to respectfully engage internal and external customers at all levels to achieve successful outcomes.
Outstanding organizational skills to efficiently manage competing priorities, multiple concurrent taskings, and firm deadlines.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365.
Desired
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Work experience with the Naval Maintenance Community, United States Navy, or the Department of Defense.

Pay Range The proposed salary range for this position is $68,400–$143,700. Pay is influenced by factors such as geographic location, contract wage rates, relevant work experience, education, and certifications. We offer competitive compensation, benefits, and learning and development opportunities.
