
Production Coordinator I

General Description
Creates, plans, and schedules based on shop load, period of performance, and lead times for make and buy items.
Duties
Review routers prior to release.
Review BOMs as needed to ensure accuracy.
Print and distribute manufacturing data packages for assigned projects on scheduled plan release dates.
Attend material review board meetings to help determine root causes and corrective actions for nonconformance.
Create and print vendor consignment notices and coordinate outside processing.
Work closely with and maintain professional relationships with all members of the manufacturing team.
Expedite materials between buildings as required to support production flow.
Develop and implement operating methods and procedures to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality.
Perform various other tasks as needed.
Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
Assist the Planning department with day-to-day operations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience Requirements
Associate degree preferred; experience may substitute for degree.
Experience and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems; Cost Point experience preferred.
Minimum of two (2) years of production planning experience.
Ability to review and understand production routers/BOMs prior to release.
Experience with Bills of Material and government drawings.
Effective communication skills across multiple disciplines.
Proficient in verbal and written communication.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
General computer skills required.

Physical Requirements
Ability to walk or stand on level and inclined surfaces and sit for extended periods.
Climb and descend stairs as needed.
Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
Ability to grasp, handle objects, use finger dexterity, and reach above/below shoulders.
Work in a normal office environment with controlled temperature and lighting.
