Contract Administrator – Level 3 or 4

located in

Chandler, AZ . This role supports the NGSP Launch and Exploration Division programs, requiring a basic understanding of DoD contracting, strong communication, leadership, and technology acumen in Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities

Prioritize proposal activities and work on multiple tasks simultaneously.

Identify contractual risks and mitigate with appropriate contract provisions.

Serve as key business advisor to program managers on contractual and operational matters.

Plan and execute successful contract negotiations of a complex nature, achieving targeted profit rates and favorable terms.

Maintain excellent working relationships with customers and effectively administer, modify, negotiate, and terminate standard and non‑standard contractual agreements.

Make timely decisions under tight deadlines and pressure.

Collaborate with technical, program, finance, global supply chain, global mobility office, and security teams for seamless contract administration.

Enter and manage data in the Contract Management System (CMS).

Complete other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

Level 3 – Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant contracting experience, OR Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.

Level 4 – Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant contracting experience, OR Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.

Alternative: Additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.

Experience negotiating and administering various contract types.

Knowledge of FAR/DFAR requirements.

Knowledge of multiple contract types, including Firm Fixed Price, Time & Materials, or Cost‑Plus Fixed Fee.

Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

Active Secret clearance at time of application.

Recent experience as a Contracts Administrator for Department of Defense contracts.

Current DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS.

MBA or JD.

Primary Level Salary Range: $78,700.00 – $118,100.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,100.00 – $147,100.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results. Employees in VP or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
