Job Description
Professional level sales position on the commercial side of the business. The role is responsible for profitable growth via customer retention and expansion, partners with the GM to manage team members, and requires expert automotive systems & parts knowledge. Experience sourcing parts from special order, FDO, and second sources, managing drivers for accurate delivery, and maintaining commercial stocking programs. Full‑time position.
Primary Responsibilities
Maintain commercial customer relationships
Provide GAS2 selling experience to commercial customers
Achieve personal/store sales goals and service objectives
Provide day‑to‑day supervisory support for team members
Collaborate with GM on coaching and development of team members
Dispatch drivers to meet delivery standards
Maintain commercial stocking programs
Build and maintain a network of second‑source suppliers
Secondary Responsibilities
Maintain core bank and commercial returns
Maintain commercial credit accounts
Partner with GM to ensure proper driver coverage

ASE P2 certified or ASE‑ready equivalent

Essential Job Skills
Knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic ability (engine, suspension, brakes, electronics, exhaust, etc.)
Speak and write English (Spanish a plus)
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals; write simple correspondence
Understand and execute written, oral, or diagram instructions
Successfully complete the Parts Knowledge Assessment
Use basic math accurately (add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure)
Efficient use of Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong organizational skills
Understand commercial profitability concepts, competition, market opportunities, and customer prioritization
Flexible to work assortment of days, evenings, weekends as needed
Prior Experience
Minimum 3 years of automotive parts experience preferred
Proven sales ability with customer transaction fulfillment
Experience leading teams, supervising daily tasks, and collaborating to achieve goals
Education High school diploma or GED.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations ASE certification preferred but not required.
Compensation Position eligible for sales commission based on individual or store performance.
Physical Demands Predominantly walking or standing; requires ability to talk and hear, use hands and fingers, reach with arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl. Frequently lifts or moves up to 50 lb and occasionally up to 100 lb. Requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment Mostly indoor work with occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Possible exposure to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, chemicals, electrical shock, explosives, vibration. Noise level typically moderate.
