Professional level commercial parts sales position. Responsible for profitable growth of the commercial business through customer retention and expansion. Works with the GM to manage team members and ensures timely, accurate delivery. Must have expert automotive systems and parts knowledge and ability to source from multiple suppliers.
Primary Responsibilities
Maintain commercial customer relationships
Provide GAS2 selling experience to commercial customers
Achieve personal/store sales goals and service objectives
Provide day‑to‑day supervisory support for team members
Collaborate with GM on coaching and developmental needs of team members
Dispatch drivers ensuring delivery standards are met
Maintain commercial stocking programs
Build and maintain a network of second‑source suppliers
Secondary Responsibilities
Maintain core bank and commercial returns
Maintain commercial credit accounts
Partner with GM to ensure proper driver coverage

Operating POS and parts lookup systems
ASE P2 certified or ASE‑ready equivalent

Essential Job Skills
Working knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic ability (internal engine, suspension, brakes, electronics, exhaust, etc.)
Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively with customers, peers, and management
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/instruction manuals, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals; write simple correspondence
Understand and execute instructions in written, oral, or diagram form
Successfully complete the Parts Knowledge Assessment
Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units; use whole numbers, common fractions, decimals
Use Microsoft Word, Excel effectively
Strong organizational skills
Understand commercial profitability concepts, competition, market opportunities, customer prioritization; may work with Commercial Account Manager to determine pricing discounts
Ability to work assortment of days, evenings, weekends as needed
Prior Experience
Minimum 3 years automotive parts experience preferred
Proven sales ability with past experience in fulfillment of customer transactions
Formal or informal experience leading teams, supervising daily tasks, and working together to achieve goals
Education High school diploma or GED.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations ASE certification preferred, but not required.
Physical Demands The employee will predominantly be walking or standing, must be able to talk, hear, use hands and fingers, reach with arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift or move up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs. Specific vision abilities required: close, distance, color, depth perception, ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment Occurs primarily indoors with occasional outdoor exposure to weather. May be exposed to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, chemicals, electrical shock, explosives, vibration. Noise level usually moderate.
Position eligible for sales commission based on individual or store performance.
