About the job: We are looking for a Sales Engineer to join our Mid Market & Corporate team. As a Sales Engineer, you’ll work closely with our Account Executives to address the technical and functional requirements of our mid-market clients throughout the presale phase. You are the ideal candidate if: You have a rich blend of business acumen and technical savviness You understand technical systems and have some demonstrated familiarity with various technology stacks You have hands-on experience with manufacturing and/or finance and can leverage this knowledge while consulting with prospects Sales is in your blood Responsibilities: Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support. Deliver product presentations and demonstrations tailored to customer needs and technical specifications. Assist in the development of custom solutions to meet customer business needs. Provide technical expertise and support during the pre-sales process. Liaise between the sales, engineering, and implementation teams to accurately convey customer needs. Participate in RFP (Request for Proposal) and RFI (Request for Information) processes, providing detailed technical responses. Conduct product and software training sessions for customers. Stay up to date with product development and new features, transferring knowledge to the sales team. Create client proposals outlining work to be completed and provide project scopes and estimates. Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related degree. Strong functional and technical understanding of SaaS and/or ERP systems. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Experience with software development practices and databases is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically. Manufacturing and/or finance experience is a significant plus, providing valuable insights into customer processes and needs. Willingness to travel as needed to support sales efforts. Demonstrated ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment, exhibiting an entrepreneurial attitude and an inherent capacity for self-direction. How You Will Be Measured: Customer satisfaction and feedback on pre-sales technical support and product demonstrations. Contribution to the sales pipeline and closing rate through effective technical and functional support. The successful implementation of sold projects. Accuracy and quality of technical responses in RFPs and RFIs. Collaboration and communication effectiveness with sales and implementation teams. Up-to-date knowledge of product features and successful dissemination of this information to the sales team. Your ability to work independently and as a team in a self-directed manner. Compensation and Perks: Compensation includes base salary and commission.
