ready for a new opportunity? I'm working with a leading engineering company in the sensing systems industry to recruit an Engineer to work in Horseheads, NY.
This facility designs, manufactures, and tests gaseous-based radiation detectors and associated hardware used in commercial, research, and special-purpose nuclear reactors worldwide.
Must be a U.S. citizen and willing to obtain a federal security clearance.
Responsibilities
The position involves contributing to the design, analysis, and documentation of components that operate in extreme environments, supporting nuclear power and research applications globally.
Analyze and interpret design documents to ensure high-quality calculations and analyses.
Prepare or verify specifications for materials, manufacturing, and testing.
Develop technical documentation, reports, and design of experiments.
Support Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, and Sales teams by resolving technical issues and reviewing specifications.
Assist in identifying critical characteristics and addressing non-conformances.
Provide input for technical proposals and customer inquiries.
Requirements
B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
2+ years of experience in an industrial product manufacturing environment.
Technical writing and documentation experience
Experience with process testing, reviewing data of manufactured products.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, planning, and organizational abilities.
CAD Design experience; AutoCAD Inventor, Solidworks a plus.
Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and MS Power Automate a plus, MS planner a plus.
Valid Driver’s license.
