Job Description
Oversee Supplier(s) Planning Process :
Develop tactical overlays to cluster / brand strategy
Engage Johnson Brothers Leadership during process
Plan / execute against suggested pricing strategies
Build target account lists for identified activities
Plan effective use of POS
Develop market execution plan including measurable goals by geography, channel, customer, and brand
Integrate plan to drive Transformational Priorities
Include brand training where appropriate
Other Duties :
Plan activity / goals against achieving brand standards
Lead planning of national / local POS buys with Supplier(s)
Follow Supplier(s) lead on innovation planning within assigned brands including programming, goal setting, inventory management, selling tools, kickoff meeting, training, tracking, etc.
Communicate portfolio priorities and key execution metrics regularly to ensure internal alignment
Manage budgets: Grant / Tactical / Trade $’s / Discounts / LMF
Identify and propose solutions to competitive pricing opportunities / challenges
Incorporate “best practices” and market learning across the network
Develop and plan creative selling opportunities
Conduct in-depth analysis of activities by channel, geography, customer, and brand
Track scorecard performance across the network
Measure and update against execution plans, identifying strategic gaps
Monitor progress against brand standards and goals monthly
Manage supplier scorecards against innovation, on-premise, and other KPIs
Develop business analysis for key accounts
Use internal tracking tools to monitor displays, ads, pricing, distribution, visibility, accounts sold, menus, drink features, etc.
Lead investment activities including POS, tactical spends, pricing, and local media
Assist suppliers in managing programming and monitor pricing strategies
Assess supplier, brand, and category health using syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI, DISCUS, etc.)
Manage profitability for suppliers and distributors
Monitor spend against budgets to identify risks and opportunities
Run standard and custom reports for business insights
Coordinate business reviews and planning meetings with supplier leadership
Build training programs to enhance sales personnel capabilities, working with corporate training platforms
Ensure compliance with all supplier and corporate measures
Work with purchasing to adhere to contractual obligations and maintain healthy inventory levels
Oversee branch forecasting using Logility
Develop relationships with local market sales leaders
Plan and execute market surveys as per supplier’s cadence
Preferred Requirements :
4-year degree
People management experience
Brand / supplier management experience
Experience in Beverage Alcohol Industry
Excellent communication skills, comfortable with all levels including senior leadership
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and a proactive approach
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to lead change effectively
Strong presentation skills and business conversation guidance
Data-driven working style
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
