The Commercial Relationship Manager I is responsible for developing profitable client relationships and business opportunities by promoting Stellar Bank's products, services, and brand. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve as the first contact for prospective clients and a secondary contact for existing clients, in collaboration with Portfolio Managers and Lending Assistants. Manage activities within the portfolio, including credit risk management. Guide Credit Analysts, Lending Assistants, and Portfolio Managers to ensure successful outcomes, compliance, risk mitigation, and profitability, aligning with Stellar Bank Values. Conduct prospecting and sales activities to build a portfolio of loans, deposits, fee income, and treasury sales. Present and review credit packages with the loan committee. Oversee credit risk management within the portfolio. Collaborate with Credit Analysts and Portfolio Managers on credit narratives and reviews. Mitigate risks across the portfolio. Ensure compliance with BSA/AML/CFT and Sanctions policies, including timely training completion. SECONDARY DUTIES

Perform additional duties as assigned. In the absence of a Portfolio Manager, the Relationship Manager will: Analyze trends and conduct annual reviews. Monitor and manage exceptions. Manage maturing loans and handle Anti-Financial Crimes requests. Assist clients with documentation during loan underwriting. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This role does not supervise staff. ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

The work is performed in a non-confined office setting, involving writing, speaking, listening, lifting up to 25 pounds, sitting, typing, standing, kneeling, and reaching. Travel within the assigned area is required to meet clients and attend meetings, necessitating a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle. Operate office equipment such as phones, copiers, fax machines, and computers. Physical demands include reading documents, problem-solving, customer interaction, reasoning, math, and communication. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field, or equivalent experience. 3+ years in banking relationship management or business lending, with in-person contact preferred. Knowledge of core banking products, credit processes, and risk management. Strong relationship-building and influencing skills. Ability to assess client needs and balance risks. Excellent communication, credit analysis, and sales skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
