Business Development Representative II
to lead agency relations and champion our strategic market position across multiple lines of business. What You’ll Do
Cultivate and manage agency partnerships to ensure MAPFRE is the go-to provider for auto and other insurance lines. Negotiate growth and profitability targets—and help agencies hit them. Prospect new agency appointments and book transfers that align with MAPFRE’s standards. Act as the bridge between agencies and internal teams in claims, underwriting, and premium accounting. Monitor market trends and competitor activity, reporting key insights to leadership. Travel regularly to foster relationships and uncover new opportunities. What You Bring
4–6 years of experience (or 6–8 years with an Associate’s Degree) in business development, underwriting, or claims. Independent agency experience and deep industry knowledge. Strong communication, adaptability, and time management skills. A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience. CIC and/or CPCU designation participation preferred. You’ll work independently with broad decision-making authority. You’ll influence long-range goals and collaborate with senior stakeholders. You’ll be empowered to solve complex problems and innovate with purpose. You’ll represent MAPFRE as a prime contact—your voice matters. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel (including overnight events). Ethical conduct and confidentiality are a must. Manual dexterity and ability to lift light objects.
