Volunteers of America-Greater New York (VOA-Greater New York) is an anti‑poverty organization working to end homelessness in the New York area by 2050. We operate over 60 programs across New York City, Northern New Jersey and Westchester County, offering emergency, transitional and permanent housing as well as services for families experiencing homelessness, survivors of domestic violence, people living with HIV/AIDS, veterans, youth aging out of foster care, adults with behavioral health or substance use needs, and others in need, including a special education preschool program.

Minimum Qualifications
Requires an Associate degree (or 60 college credits), or High School Diploma or equivalent and two years’ experience in outreach, social services, or related field providing counseling and placement services.
The position also requires a demonstrated ability in verbal and written communication, including basic computer skills.
Principal Responsibilities
Conduct outreach efforts to diverse community-based organizations, nonprofits, and city agencies to promote the Career Access Program.
Deliver presentations about the Career Access Program to various audiences, including community board meetings, nonprofit conferences, and agency events.
Distribute marketing materials (e.g., brochures, flyers, social media posts) to promote the program and its services.
Coordinate and participate in community events, career fairs, and information sessions to recruit potential program participants.
Build relationships with community partners, advocacy groups, and local service organizations to expand program reach.
Identify and engage individuals with disabilities who may benefit from the program’s services.
Work closely with the Program Manager and team members to ensure a coordinated recruitment, enrollment, and service delivery approach.
