TITLE: Account Executive, Family Offices and Accounting Firms

LOCATION: New York City Metro

SALARY: $245,000 - $260,000 OTE (base plus commission), plus equity

The Role As an Account Executive at Canoe Intelligence, you will develop and execute strategies to identify, engage, and close new business opportunities within our Family Office segment in the New York City Metro Area. In addition to Family Office activities, you will be tasked with opening up, developing, and selling into the Accounting Industry vertical. The AE will work with the Senior Director of Sales to validate Canoe’s hypothesis that Accounting Firms, like other financial institutions, leverage technology to improve back office operations. The position's primary goal will be to drive revenue growth by establishing strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within the single family office and accounting segment.

What You’ll Do

Identify and target potential family office clients and accounting firms

Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through proactive prospecting and lead generation activities

Conduct thorough research to understand the needs, pain points, and priorities of prospective clients

Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the value of Canoe Intelligence's solutions

Collaborate with internal teams, including sales engineering, business development, marketing, and client success, to ensure a seamless client onboarding and implementation process

Negotiate contract terms and pricing agreements to drive successful deal closures

Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to the sales management team

Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes that impact the institutional sector

What We’re Looking For

5+ year track record of success in fintech sales and business development

Strong knowledge of the alternative investment industry, including key players, industry regulations, and market trends

Strong understanding of General Ledger applications (QuickBooks, Sage, etc.), integrated platforms (Archway, Eton, Asset Vantage, etc.) portfolio management systems (Addepar, Black Diamond, Advent APX, etc.)

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with senior-level decision makers and influencers

Strong negotiation and closing skills, with a focus on driving revenue growth

Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented mindset

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment

Proficiency in CRM software and other sales productivity tools

MBA highly preferred
