Job Description
The Dining Room Supervisor is responsible for overseeing thedining room operations in a senior living community, ensuring that meals areserved in a timely and efficient manner, and maintaining a high level ofcustomer service. The supervisor will manage a team of servers, ensure that thedining area is clean and organized, and monitor inventory levels.
Responsibilities
Manage and supervisedining room staff, ensuring that they are trained and adhere to policies and procedures
Monitor inventorylevels of food and supplies, ensuring that orders are placed in a timely manner
Ensure that the diningroom is clean and organized, and that tables are set up properly
Ensure that meals areserved on time, and that food is of high quality
Greet residents andguests, and ensure that they have an enjoyable dining experience
Monitor residentsatisfaction and address any concerns or complaints in a timely manner
Collaborate with theculinary team to create menus and special events
Ensure that allequipment is functioning properly and report any issues to the maintenance team
Maintain a safe andhealthy environment by following sanitation and safety procedures
Attend meetings andtrainings as required
Qualifications
High school diploma orequivalent; some college coursework preferred
Minimum of 2 years ofexperience in a supervisory role in a dining room or restaurant setting
Excellentcommunication and customer service skills
Strong organizationaland time management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions
Basic computer skills,including Microsoft Office and email
Ability to lift up to50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
ServSafe certificationpreferred
