About the Role As a DSCR Senior Loan Officer, you will be responsible for originating, structuring, and closing Debt Service Coverage Ratio (DSCR) loans, including both purchase and refinance transactions. The ideal candidate understands non-QM lending guidelines within the hard money lending industry, and can confidently work with clients while thriving in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Originate and manage DSCR loan applications from initial inquiry through funding.
Evaluate client eligibility based on property cash flow, DSCR calculations, and asset-based underwriting.
Educate clients on loan programs, terms, rates, and expectations.
Collect and review required documentation, including leases, rent rolls, appraisals, and entity documentation.
Collaborate with processing, underwriting, and closing teams to ensure timely loan closings.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and company lending regulations.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers and referral partners.
Consistently meet or exceed monthly production and funding goals.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent professional experience in real estate finance will be considered.
Minimum of five (5) years of sales experience, including at least two (2) years in hard money lending, asset-based lending, mortgage lending, or real estate investment.
Comprehensive knowledge of loan origination, real estate finance, collateral valuation, private lending products, investor requirements, investment properties, LLCs, and applicable regulatory considerations.
Experience building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, real estate investors, brokers, and referral partners.
Demonstrated expertise in structuring short-term real estate loans, and assessing asset-based risk, with a proven ability to structure loans creatively within program guidelines.
Advanced sales and marketing capabilities with a proven ability to develop and maintain a strong high-volume pipeline.
Consistently meet or exceed monthly production and funding goals.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with CRM and LOA systems and platforms.
