Responsibilities
Provides consultation regarding best practices of MTSS
Assists with the development and implementation of district wide policies and procedures
Provides consultation and intervention regarding behavior management, effective education and assessment of the behavioral needs of students with and without disabilities.
Designs, implements and monitors behavior programs for students.
Prepares written reports, as needed by the district to outside psychiatric professionals/ community agencies re:behavioral concerns of students with or without disabilities
Conducts classroom observations to support behavior related management & instruction
Possesses the ability to conduct functional behavioral assessments and design, implement and monitor behavior intervention plans
Serves as a member of the CSE for students with behavioral concerns
Provides teacher-coaching & support related to classroom management.
Collects & analyzes data to inform behavioral practices across the district.

Qualifications
Valid NYS certification as a School Psychologist, School Social Worker, School Counselor or Special Education Teacher is required
BCBA or coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis preferred
Must have strong working knowledge of PBIS/Rtl/MTSS
Experience working with children/adolescents with a variety of psychiatric and/ or behavioral disorders
Experience developing Functional Behavioral Assessments, positive behavioral supports
Experience working with staff and administrators on interventions to support student behavior
