What You’ll Do Under the direction of the Housekeeping Manager, you will oversee day‑to‑day operations within the Department, ensuring adherence to STRC standards, policies, and procedures. The role focuses on maintaining and improving housekeeping services and operations of the hotel.
Responsibilities include:
Support the Mission, Vision, and Values of the casino.
Assist the Housekeeping Manager in leading all operations; monitor and evaluate daily departmental activities.
Collaborate with other hotel departments for seamless guest service.
Assign room assignments and work duties; coordinate scheduling and completion of deep cleaning and related projects.
Ensure timely and efficient guest room turnover per service standards.
Inspect rooms for cleanliness, inspect VIP suites, release vacant rooms for occupancy, and score housekeeping sections.
Monitor report status and discrepancies of rooms; maintain inventory PAR levels.
Track IVR requests and guest comments; adjust process as needed; attend pre‑con meetings.
Resolve guest relations issues.
Assist with performance reviews and maintain scorecards.
Stay updated on health and safety policies; ensure certifications current; monitor chemical use and labeling.
Ensure safety equipment is available and properly labeled.
Maintain consistent attendance.
Provide unmatched service to guests.
Communicate effectively with all levels.
Work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
Move efficiently in all work areas.
Follow written, verbal, or graphic instructions.
Identify problems, propose and execute solutions.
Work under extreme urgency conditions.
Maintain excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED.
Two (2) years’ experience in upscale hotel housekeeping or related; casino hotel experience preferred.
One (1) year’s experience in a supervisory or coaching role preferred.
Clear and effective communication in English.
Maintain required certifications or licenses.
Knowledge of housekeeping techniques and productivity levels.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and PMS/LMS.
Supervisory problem‑solving and critical thinking skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and guest service orientation.
Willingness to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
Tolerance of noise, smoke, and temperature variations.
State or Tribal gaming license required.
