Job Summary/Description:

Join an Emmy-winning team telling the stories of how we live, play, eat, and connect in the Lowcountry. WCSC's #1 rated lifestyle program, Palmetto Life, is hiring a Lifestyle Multimedia Journalist (MMJ) who shines on camera and thrives in end-to-end production. You’ll pitch, shoot, write, edit, and publish standout lifestyle content across broadcast, web, and social, and you’ll host and produce our weekend show—including clearly labeled sponsored segments created in partnership with clients, while maintaining strong editorial standards.

Duties/Responsibilities

Create original lifestyle stories: research, pitch, write, shoot, edit, and publish for TV, web, and social

Host & produce the weekend show (live and pre-recorded): own rundowns, bookings, segment planning, and execution

Fill in for the full-time host when needed

Deliver daily: produce at least one polished, station-quality package per day

Go live: conduct engaging live interviews with a wide range of guests

Collaborate on sponsored/branded content: partner with marketing and sales to develop segments that are audience-first and clearly identified

Contribute as needed: support additional assignments and special projects

Jump in on additional assignments as needed.

Who you are

Comfortable juggling multiple platforms—and tailoring content for each.

Equally strong in front of the camera and in the edit bay.

Qualifications/Requirements

An experienced, high-energy on-camera personality and editor who can balance fun, informative lifestyle storytelling.

Comfortable juggling multiple platforms—and optimizing content for each.

Calm, prepared, and adaptable in live environments, with strong communication and booking skills.

Collaborative, accountable, and committed to accuracy and editorial integrity.

Proven professional experience shooting, writing, editing, and producing content.

Confident on-camera presence with strong hosting/interviewing skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple projects under a deadline.

Self-starter with a creative mindset and passion for storytelling.

FAA drone certification is a plus.

Ability to work Wednesday–Sunday is required.

Valid driver’s license / good driving record required.
