This is a full-time temporary assignment anticipated through June 30, 2026.
Summary Under general supervision, this position serves as an integral member of the Government Relations team, while performing a wide variety of support duties including special projects, research studies, interdepartmental communication, and other specialized functions. Performs a variety of professional level duties involving the review, research and analysis of proposed state and federal legislation affecting the City.
Education and/or Experience Bachelor's Degree in public administration, political science or related field, and three years of experience in municipal and/or legislative research and analysis. One year of relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience. Master’s Degree in Public Administration or related field preferred. Previous Legislative and or Municipal Experience is preferred.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations Must have at time of hire and be able to maintain a valid Arizona Driver License.
Selection Process Applicants whose education, training, and experience most closely meet the needs of the position may be invited to participate in a selection process to include a panel interview. Successful candidates will receive a post-offer, pre-employment background screening to include:
