Job Description Insight Global is seeking a UX / Product Designer to join a Big 5 Canadian banking client, sitting out of Chicago. The successful candidate will focus on a range of digital customer experiences.
Responsibilities
User Research & Analysis
Conduct usability testing, interviews, and surveys to understand customer needs.
Analyze data and synthesize insights to inform design decisions.
Wireframing & Prototyping
Create low- and high-fidelity wireframes and interactive prototypes using tools like Figma or Sketch.
Iterate designs based on feedback and testing results.
Design System & Development Collaboration
Work within established design systems and contribute to their evolution.
Collaborate with developers to ensure consistency across platforms (web, iOS, Android).
Agile & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Participate in daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives with product managers, developers, and QA teams.
Ensure designs are ready for development and meet sprint timelines.
Stakeholder Engagement
Present design concepts and prototypes to stakeholders for feedback and approval.
Facilitate workshops to align teams on user needs and design strategies.
Continuous Improvement
Monitor product releases and gather post‑launch feedback for iterative improvements.
Stay updated on industry trends and perform competitive analysis.
Accessibility & Compliance
Ensure designs meet accessibility standards (WCAG) and comply with banking regulations.
Incorporate inclusive design principles into all deliverables.
Documentation & Handoff
Prepare detailed design specifications and assets for developer handoff.
Maintain clear documentation for future reference and audits.

3‑4+ years of experience in UX / Product Design
Figma
Large enterprise experience
Agile experience, specifically working with technical stakeholders ***
Strong sense of collaboration with various stakeholder groups and ability to adapt to various working style
Strong communicator, dependable, and a go‑getter who can work with stakeholders to drive clarity about user needs and business objectives, advance our design practice, and advocate for the user
Accessibility - AODA, WCAG 2.0
Design System experience (ie. Abacus)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Specific experience within banking or other financial institutions
Strong technical
