This role is a hybrid role. Employees will be in the office at our Bellevue, WA location 3 days a week and remote 2 days a week.

About the role As a Strategic Account Manager, you are central to Esper's success and growth. You will be the primary point of contact for the post-sales journey of an assigned portfolio of strategic customers, who will ensure customer delight via adoption and delivery of Esper’s solutions. Through your consultative relationship skills, you will identify, qualify, and close expansion and renewal opportunities.
This is a strategic relationship management role, you will be required to travel to customer sites and conduct regular business reviews. The ideal candidate will possess both a sales and a technical background to drive engagement with decision-makers and influencers within product engineering and IT teams.
What you'll do Effectively manage and nurture relationships at the enterprise level as well as mid-management levels Responsible for developing the forecasts for each assigned account Identify opportunities for customers to realize the value of Esper premium products (analytics, custom firmware, device validation, multiple OS configurations), and professional services offerings Manage customer renewals and expansion opportunities to achieve a defined net revenue retention target Monitor and assess the health of customer accounts, proactively addressing any issues to ensure a positive customer experience Design and conduct an effective QBR process, in close partnership with the Technical Implementation Management team. Engage with VP+ level executive sponsors at Esper’s largest clients, to demonstrate the business value of their investments and uncover opportunities for expanded ROI Serve as an internal customer ambassador who raises customer empathy and advocates on the customer's behalf, within Product & Engineering, and other Go to Market functions Facilitate communication between the customer and internal teams to ensure timely and effective resolution of issues.
What we're looking for You’re scrappy, driven, and can stay abreast with quick-paced deal cycles and take ownership of your book of business with external and internal stakeholders. 3+ years of Sales Engineering or Technical Consulting experience. 4+ years of demonstrated success in SaaS technical sales and/or account management. Demonstrated experience in leveraging nuanced, technically complex products to drive business outcomes for clients. Aptitude for learning technical concepts/terms (Technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS a plus) Proven track record of performance (top 10-20% of company) in past sales positions Estimated travel: 15%
Compensation Band $125,000 - $225,000 OTE
