Regional Director Community Engagement Initiatives
The Regional Director of Community Services serves as a visionary and strategic leader responsible for overseeing and expanding CPLC’s Social Services – Community Services programs across multiple states. This role is pivotal in driving innovation, excellence, and culturally responsive service delivery across a diverse regional landscape. The Regional Director inspires and motivates a multidisciplinary team to achieve transformational outcomes for the communities we serve, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. With a strong emphasis on equity, inclusion, and community empowerment, this leader ensures the success and growth of existing programs while identifying and launching new service lines that align with CPLC’s mission and strategic goals. The Regional Director is accountable for program quality, regulatory compliance, fiscal stewardship, and impactful reporting. This role works closely with internal teams and external partners to build sustainable, community‑driven solutions and to elevate the visibility and reach of CPLC’s services.
Supervisory Responsibilities The Regional Director directly supervises Program Directors, Associate Directors, and Education Leaders (as applicable), and provides indirect oversight of all Community Service programs as directed by leadership. This includes final authority on hiring, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and terminations. The Director fosters a high‑performing, inclusive team culture that values professional growth, innovation, and shared success.
Specializations The ideal candidate is a dynamic and inspirational leader with a proven ability to motivate and unify teams across culturally diverse and geographically dispersed regions. They bring deep expertise in nonprofit infrastructure, program development, and strategic leadership. A strong understanding of multicultural communities, dual‑language populations, and the unique challenges faced by low‑income and at‑risk families is essential. Proficiency in budget management, contract compliance, and organizational development is required.
Minimum Qualifications And Competencies
Master’s degree in social sciences, business, or related field with 5+ years of nonprofit leadership experience; or Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of director‑level leadership.
Experience in multi‑program development and implementation strongly preferred.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
Must meet fingerprint clearance and possess a valid driver’s license and insurance.
Other Requirements
Proven success in leading multi‑state, multicultural teams and service lines.
Strong relationship‑building and communication skills across diverse audiences.
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans, measure impact, and report outcomes.
Expertise in grant management, program design, and fund development.
Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in leadership and service delivery.
Deep knowledge of Arizona’s social service landscape and community‑based providers.
