Overview: District Manager for the West region
is responsible for leading multiple Fleet Feet locations across California, Utah, and Washington. This role drives sales growth, operational excellence, and profitability across a designated district. Through dynamic leadership, coaching, and strategic development, the District Manager empowers store leaders to deliver strong financial results, cultivate high‑performing teams, and drive market growth. Leadership & Relationship Management
Lead and manage performance for multiple store locations, driving sales growth and operational standards.
Maintain strong relationships with Store Managers through ongoing communication and in‑person visits.
Foster a consistent, values‑driven culture across stores through daily leadership and presence.
Coaching, Development & Talent Management
Coach and mentor Store Managers and their teams to build high‑performing, customer‑first environments.
Support internal talent pipelines through career development, feedback, and leadership training.
Identify high‑potential employees and create opportunities for growth and advancement.
Partner with internal departments to deliver targeted coaching and training programs.
Operational Excellence & Compliance
Ensure all stores meet Fleet Feet customer experience standards, policies, and procedures.
Promote operational consistency and risk reduction by upholding company compliance standards.
Financial & Strategic Planning
Collaborate with store leaders on strategic planning and execution of district‑level initiatives.
Oversee business planning processes, including budget management, sales performance, and corrective actions when needed.
Internal Collaboration & Professional Growth
Partner with HR, Field Marketing, and other departments to drive business and talent strategy.
Continuously develop your own leadership and stay informed of trends in retail and community engagement.
Travel & In‑Person Leadership
Travel throughout the district 50–60% of the time to provide hands‑on leadership and support.
Represent Fleet Feet in community and industry events, strengthening local and regional presence.
Qualifications:
5+ years of progressive retail leadership experience required; multi‑unit management strongly preferred.
Proven ability to drive results and meet sales, operational, and financial goals.
Inspirational leader who excels at coaching, mentoring, and team development.
Sound judgment, strong communication skills, and a collaborative spirit.
Passionate about Fleet Feet’s mission and the power of movement to improve lives.
