The Hilton Motif Seattle is looking for its next Catering Sales and Events Manager to join their dynamic team!

The team is looking for an energetic and results‑driven Catering Sales and Events Manager with strong multitasking skills. This role involves actively prospecting new business, responding to inquiries, and managing the full lifecycle of catering events—from initial detailing to on‑site servicing. Responsibilities include preparing Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), drafting contracts, and overseeing billing to ensure a seamless client experience.

Key Qualifications

At least one year of catering sales experience, preferably within hotel operations.

Working knowledge of Microsoft programs such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.

Experience with Delphi, Amadeus, or comparable sales and catering management systems.

The salary range for this position is $30.00 – $32.00 per hour plus bonus incentives, based on applicable and specialized experience and location.

What you will be doing As Catering Sales & Events Manager, you will develop market segments, solicit new customer relationships, and negotiate business through proposals and contracts to close business. You will creatively design menus and events to maximize revenue and experience, maintain existing corporate and social accounts, foster internal client relationships, direct event logistics, and serve as the primary contact throughout pre‑event, event, and post‑event phases.

Essential functions include:

Organizing, planning, and prioritizing duties by developing plans and goals.

Timely communication with internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents, or in person.

Creating and maintaining client relationships to meet expectations and deliver on them.

Demonstrating knowledge of job systems, products, and processes.

Resolving conflicts, negotiating, and handling complaints and grievances.

Selling and influencing both internal and external clients.

Making decisions and solving problems by analyzing and evaluating issues to determine the best solution.

Ensuring high‑quality service by communicating, assisting others, and providing feedback and coaching.

Participating in customer site inspections and assisting with the sales process as needed.

Performing other duties as needed based on business needs.
