Position Overview
Vaco is partnering with a company in the Birmingham area in identifying a Data Entry Clerk to join their team. The Data Entry Clerk is responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining data within company systems and databases. This role requires strong attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to handle repetitive tasks while meeting productivity and accuracy standards. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working with digital records in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Enter, update, and verify data in internal systems and databases with a high level of accuracy.
Review source documents for completeness and correctness prior to data entry.
Identify, correct, and report data discrepancies or errors.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with company policies regarding data security.
Organize and maintain electronic and/or physical records.
Meet daily productivity and accuracy goals.
Communicate with internal teams to resolve missing or unclear information.
Perform routine quality checks to ensure data integrity.
Assist with administrative or clerical tasks as needed.
Complete additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience in data entry, clerical, or administrative roles preferred.
Strong typing skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data entry systems.
Ability to work independently and manage repetitive tasks efficiently.
Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
Basic written and verbal communication skills.
Compensation & Benefits Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
