Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a full-time position available for a CAD/BIM designer.
Responsibilities
Using computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering design documents
Assisting with the preparation of, or modification of: plans, BIM models, and designs for projects within the Water Resource Business Unit
Sets up project plan sets and leads drafting coordination
Maintains technical competence on software features, company standards, and best practices
Identifies, reads, follows, and enforces relevant standards on projects
Assists with design computations and quantity estimates
Attends project meetings
Reviewing for quality assurance and quality control
Mentoring less experienced staff
Some travel may be required.
Qualifications
An associate degree (or higher) in drafting, engineering design technology, engineering/architectural graphics, or related field AND four (4) years of relevant experience
If no degree, must have at least six (6) years of relevant experience
Ideal Candidate
10+ years of relevant experience
Proficient with Autodesk Civil 3D and preparing plans with 3D elements
Experience drafting for multi-disciplinary engineering teams (for example: civil, structural, and mechanical)
Experience with water infrastructure projects
