Description of Job Duties
Assist in the set-up, supervision, and tear down of Campus Recreation activities and special events.
Assist with participant check-in, scorekeeping, and record keeping for Campus Recreation programs.
Assist in maintaining facilities and equipment in a clean and organized manner.
Assist in the design and promotion of programs and events.
Provide excellent customer service and assist participants with relevant program information.
Follow risk management procedures and report facility or equipment concerns or participant injury to professional staff in a timely manner.
Collaborate with the Graduate Assistant for Campus Recreation and professional staff to support departmental goals and initiatives.
Attend all required spring 2026 and summer 2026 paraprofessional training sessions. Details of sessions will be provided by supervisor.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications
Maintain cumulative Grade Point Average of 2.5 or above.
Maintain good student standing in terms of on and off-campus conduct.
Confirmed plans for continued enrollment as a full-time student at North Central College for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Demonstrate a commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for all participants.
Demonstrate excellent communication, time management, and customer service skills.
Ability to work in and contribute to a team-oriented environment.
Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Preferred: Experience participating in or assisting with intramural sports, fitness programs, and/or other recreational activities.
Preferred: Knowledge of sports rules and regulations.
Preferred: Current CPR / AED and first-aid certifications.
Preferred: Experience with coursework in sports management, exercise science, health science, communication, or other related majors/minors.
