Continuous Improvement Manager – Nacogdoches, TX
Location: Nacogdoches, TX. Relocation assistance will be provided for candidates residing outside a 50‑mile radius. The expected annual salary range is
$108,749.97 – $159,499.96
(general guideline, subject to qualification and market).
Job Description Housed in Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division, this role supports plant leadership in achieving business and financial objectives through continuous‑improvement and cost‑out initiatives. The incumbent serves as the champion for the site, driving the Eaton Business System (EBS) and ECIS, and executing the organization’s strategic plan in accordance with regulations, industry standards and customer requirements.
Responsibilities
Support plant leadership in achieving business and financial goals.
Lead continuous‑improvement/cost‑out initiatives across the plant.
Champion the site by driving the EBS (Eaton Business System)/ECIS.
Implement and lead Lean Manufacturing concepts and tools, including Value Stream Mapping, structured problem‑solving, root‑cause analysis, 5S+, and Standard Work.
Lead operational improvement events such as Kaizen, Gemba walks, rapid-improvement launches, process improvement, and A3 problem‑solving.
Achieve facility‑wide cost‑out targets through projects, waste reduction, best‑practice sharing, and accountability of project leaders.
Plan and execute cross‑functional activities to enhance Eaton’s Operating Assessment (OpA) manufacturing maturity.
Identify potential safety hazards, input remediation, enforce safety expectations, document hazardous conditions, and train team members.
Perform root‑cause and failure analyses to resolve production detractors.
Apply ADKAR or similar change‑management techniques to sustain process improvements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Minimum
5 years
of experience in engineering, manufacturing, or lean manufacturing deployment.
Minimum
3 years
of experience managing people.
Fluency in Lean and Six Sigma principles (Black/Green Belt certification preferred).
Strong team‑building and organizational skills.
Ability to lead and support cross‑functional teams and thrive in matrixed management.
Effective communication, clarity, and impact tailored to diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
Lean Six Sigma Black/Green Belt certification.
Skills
Comprehension of ECIS requirements.
Strong team‑building capabilities.
Strong organizational abilities.
Capacity to act as an agent of change.
