Role Description
We are hiring a full-time Mold Maker to join our team in Batesville, MS. This on-site role involves designing, manufacturing, assembling, maintaining, and repairing molds used for production processes. The Mold Maker will interpret blueprints, utilize various CAM/CAD software, operate various machining and measurement tools, ensure precision and quality, and collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines. The individual will also perform troubleshooting and regular maintenance to ensure optimal mold functionality and efficiency.
Required Skills:
1. Ability to proficiently maintain BTD Quality Program.
2. Experience in a job shop environment.
3. Understand Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing “GDT”.
4. Proficient knowledge of various mold designs.
5. Knowledge of CNC Mill methods.
6. Knowledge of CNC Wire EDM methods.
8. Knowledge of various Grinding methods.
9. Knowledge of various Welding methods.
10. Knowledge of various polishing and finishing methods.
11. Ability to work with blueprints, micrometers, calipers and shop math.
12. Ability to set up, measure and check own work.
13. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve Mold Processing issues.
14. Ability to disassemble, reassemble, and time complex molds.
15. Ability to make own Electrodes.
16. Ability to polish own Work.
17. Troubleshoot Mold Construction to improve quality and efficiency.
18. Make necessary changes to mold construction to improve mold production capability.
Preferred Skills:
1. CAD/CAM experience. SolvedWorks and PowerMill
2. Familiarity with quality principles, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement techniques.
3. Technical school certified.
4. Proficient in the use of the cut-off wheel, grinding wheel selection, and grind-to-length operation of ejector pins, core pins, and other miscellaneous parts.
5. Proficient knowledge of basic tool steels: 0-1, S-7, A-2, D-2, H-13, 420SS, P-20, NAK 55, NAK 80, Beryllium alloys.
Salary:
$50K to $100k depending on experience.
