Mechanical Engineer (Entry Level)

Position Overview
LBE, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a motivated full‑time EIT or Entry Level Mechanical Engineer in its Moncks Corner, SC office. The candidate should have a minimum of 1 year of experience working for an engineering firm and must hold at least a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. The candidate must have experience with mechanical design, detailing, and other relevant documentation. Our projects include new construction and renovation projects across federal, commercial, and industrial business sectors in the United States and abroad.
Key Responsibilities
Perform mechanical design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion;
Apply strong knowledge of commonly used mechanical engineering and design concepts, principles, practices, codes, and procedures within the mechanical engineering industry;
Establish and implement standards, processes, procedures, and workflows;
Perform construction administration activities – responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and other related activities;
May travel ( Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or other qualifying ABET accredited program.
EIT or actively registered for the FE exam.
Basic knowledge of applicable design and building codes, including IBC, IMC, IPC, and ASHRAE.
Basic knowledge of the NEC (NFPA 70).
Working production software skills including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Carrier HAP, and Revit.
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks accurately, effectively, and confidently;
Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem‑solving skills;
Effective verbal and written communication skills;
This position requires the candidate to be eligible for a U.S. Security clearance.
Desired Experience
Experience working with Federal/Military Facilities.
Knowledge of the UFC and UFGS.
Ability to develop detailed specifications in SpecsIntact formatting/software
Knowledge of control sytems for various HVAC system types.
