Position Title: Purchasing Assistant (Student Position)

Summary of Position: The Purchasing Assistant provides key support with the daily operations of the Purchasing Department. This position will interact with clients from around campus, assist with setting up vendors and maintaining vendor records in our ERP system, monitor the department email and add update portal, scan and file important documents, and assist with special projects to help the Purchasing Department achieve its strategic goals.

Position Requirements:

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook

Responsible, self-motivated, and detail oriented

Able to work independently with little supervision

Clear and effective communication

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Answering the phone

Provide customer service

Data entry

Filing

Document management

Monitor and maintain vendor records and contract data

Problem solving
