Key Responsibilities
Lead the preparation of detailed electrical estimates for commercial and industrial projects
Review drawings, specifications, and scope documents to develop accurate take‑offs and pricing
Develop and manage bid strategies, including risk assessment and value engineering
Mentor and oversee junior estimators where applicable
Work closely with project managers, operations, and leadership during preconstruction
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors
Track historical cost data and market trends to improve estimating accuracy
Participate in bid reviews and client presentations as required
What We're Looking For
7+ years of experience in electrical estimating within an electrical contracting environment
Proven experience leading estimates on mid‑ to large‑scale projects
Strong knowledge of NEC, local Texas codes, and construction methods
Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Accubid, Trimble, ConEst, or similar)
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
