Remote Proofreader
– The role will manage the accuracy of all client email and website materials. Pay:
$21.17/hour Shift:
M‑F, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Responsibilities: Check misspellings, incorrect punctuation, and consistency in typography, words and style Check colleagues’ work to ensure the original request meets the final product Confirm website page copy, images, referral links, meta data, ensuring correct practices/industries are tagged, authors and contacts are associated with the story, and publication type is associated with the page Review emails categorized as events, newsletters, or alerts, confirming accuracy and correct format of event or communication date, location, event time, images, etc. For alerts verify accuracy and adherence to format of date, authors, practices/industries, and UTM links For newsletters confirm all CTA links point to accurate landing pages and that all updates are fulfilled For events verify accuracy and adherence to format of all event details, images and functionality of landing pages Confirm rendering of material from email rendering tool or webpage browser experience Communicate with key stakeholders involved with the process Qualifications
Job Requirements: Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills Excellent editorial and written skills Self‑motivated individual who is highly organized, able to multi‑task and prioritize Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment Comfortable working on a large team Minimum 3 years experience with email or website copy editing Some basic knowledge of HTML Law firm experience is a plus Additional Information
