Base Pay Range $24.00/hr – $32.00/hr
Position Summary As a Meat Department Lead you will drive sales in your area and supervise your team of hourly associates to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will model expertise in Meat and work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.
What You’ll Do
Be a Team Leader: supervise the team within the meat department to deliver on the business plan and contribute to the overall success of the club by communicating goals, executing company programs, adhering to policies, and advocating for the member, associate, and the company.
Be an Expert: maintain an in‑depth knowledge of business on the floor, back‑room operations, product updates, and specifications, ensuring the meat department meets company and regulatory standards for quality, inventory, production, equipment usage, safety, sanitation, and compliance.
Be a Techie: leverage digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement.
Be an Owner: drive business results by ensuring commitment to operational excellence, maintaining a neat, clean, and safe work area, utilizing digital tools for forecasting and production, facilitating the product inventory and ordering process, and ensuring appropriate staffing and audit compliance.
Be a Talent Ambassador: teach and train the team by identifying training needs, providing necessary skills, encouraging career growth for team members, sourcing talent, and implementing processes that meet business needs.
Act with Integrity: maintain the highest standards of ethics and compliance, support Walmart values, and hold oneself and others accountable.
Serve our Customers and Members: deliver results while putting the customer first, make decisions based on reliable information, and balance short–term and long‑term priorities.

Minimum Qualifications
6 months experience in a meat production department or supervising a team.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must successfully complete all job‑required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period.
Preferred Qualifications
Meat processing experience, including boneless and bone‑in products, and supervising associates.
Food Handler Certification (Food Safety).
