Role Description The primary responsibility for the Account Manager position is to manage and develop new customers for a specialty chemical service and distribution company. The individual will be assigned a territory and will have responsibility for the development of new business and the maintenance of existing business within their defined geography. Management of the territory is aligned with the sales and marketing plan that has been developed. The position involves working closely with Customer Service, Technical Service, and Operations personnel, along with other members of the Sales Team, to meet customer needs and grow the business profitably.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree (preferably technical)
Minimum of 5 years of industrial outside sales experience to direct users (preferably in the chemical industry)
Proven history of territory management and new account development
Work experience in chemical manufacturing, distribution, or related fields
Mechanical aptitude
Exceptional communications skills, both verbal and written
Exceptional time management and organizational skills. Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities in a dynamic environment.
