Phlebotomist – Ridgefield
Position: Phlebotomist at Vancouver Clinic located in Ridgefield, WA.
Job Summary We are seeking a WA State credentialed Phlebotomist to provide excellent customer service and venipuncture collection.
This role works collaboratively with all healthcare team members toward positive patient and organizational outcomes.
The phlebotomist will perform phlebotomy services, collect and handle specimens, and understand department procedures and computerized EMR and Lab Information Systems.
Responsibilities
Provide high‑quality, compassionate customer service during phlebotomy procedures.
Perform venipuncture and all blood collection techniques in a clinical laboratory setting.
Collect, label, store, and transport specimens in accordance with department protocols.
Operate computerized EMR and laboratory information systems to document specimen information accurately.
Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure patient safety and quality of care.
Maintain clean and organized work area and adhere to infection control guidelines.
Assist with training new staff and share best practices for specimen collection.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Current Washington State Medical Assistant‑Phlebotomist credential or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS CPR certification.
Minimum of one year experience using blood collection techniques in a clinical lab setting is preferred.
Ability to remain calm, professional, and work under stressful conditions.
Excellent attendance – consistent, dependable, and predictable attendance is crucial.
Ability to work with a diverse patient population, including sensitive cultural, reproductive, and gender‑affirming care topics.
Schedule & Compensation Available Schedule: Mon – Fri 8:45 am to 5:45 pm; rotating Saturday 7:30 am to 12:00 pm.
Hiring Range: $21.71–$26.75 per hour, commensurate with experience (overall pay range $21.28–$29.78).
