Under the direction of the Director of Business Development, the Community Liaison will develop and maintain relationships in markets that will generate the desired utilization of the facility’s continuum of care. Ultimately, the Community Liaison will provide community education on the mission and goals of North Spring Behavioral Healthcare.

Assists the Director of Business Development in developing and implementing a strategic plan to promote the services offered at North Spring Behavioral Healthcare to all potential referral sources in a manner consistent with the mission and vision of the hospital.

Travels regionally to maintain a database of healthcare professionals.

Responsible for growing patient census by consistently exploring the development of new referral sources, maintaining and managing existing accounts, identifying referral source needs, and tailoring services to meet those needs.

Coordinates with the Director of Business Development on ongoing updates of the Referral Source Database.

Coordinates with the Admissions Department to follow up with all referral sources regarding referrals and admissions.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Good verbal and written communication skills; experience public speaking and problem‑solving; excellent customer service skills.

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, business, counseling, or a related social science field (minimum).

At least 1 year in a related healthcare field; psychiatric health care marketing experience preferred. Five or more years of experience may substitute for the educational requirement.

Knowledge of and adherence to company safety practices.

Proficient computer skills and ability to review reports containing detailed data.

Ability to travel by car and airplane, and to sit for long periods.

Ability to occasionally lift 30 pounds and carry small objects.
